Skin irritation is a known problem with external catheters. Barrier film can help if you are prone to it. It is not included in any system box — add it if you need it. Some users also size slightly larger than the manufacturer chart so donning does not disturb the film — that can raise leak risk, so pair it with a backup plan if needed.
